It was great seeing all of you there at the DEC this past weekend in Austin as the detachment took care of business and rallied up the sons for the rest of the year as it will come to a close before we know it. As a committee, we are proud of our work that we have accomplished in this year and know that none of it would have been accomplished if it were not for the support of the entire detachment (weeeeee!) and of course our very own detachment commander; Steve Slaughter.
We would like to highlight just a couple of items (For members of the Sons only) before our full release comes out later today:
- 1.Our committee has spent 50 hours on phone calls with members or committee business.
- 2.Our committee has spent 60 hours on emails relating to committee business.
- 3.Our committee has switched votes. (pending)
- 4.Our committee appeared on a Radio Interview.
In our full release, (to be sent to the press) we will highlight our objectives going into Washington and in Austin as well as this past DEC accomplishments, The chairman will also release a statement giving the press advance notice of when he will be in Washington and his press availability during his time there. If you or your paper would like to print an article than please let the chairman know as soon as possible!
