Sons,
It truly has been an honor of the committee to attend
on YOUR behalf the Washington Conference this year and to learn so much
about how we can work on washington and Austin to get the priorities of
the American Legion and Sons accomplished. We spent the week learning
from detachments from across our great country on how they maintain
their special relationships with their elected leaders and how we can
foster and maintain new relationships as they are formed through our
communications with OUR elected leaders.
Our committee was fortunate to have been given great
advice from National Legislative Commissioner - Jeff Evans, PNC's and
of course state legislative chairman from across our great country. We
together talked about great approaches to the way we all will work
together to get our priorities achieved in our communications as a
team.
YOUR COMMITTEE and DETACHMENT was lauded over the
weekend for the work that all of us have done to highlight the prioties
of our veterans of the great state of Texas.
As a debrief of the Washington Conference; we have
given TWO statements on meetings we had on the hill.

organization and veterans from across the state of Texas. He also said
that soon we should be able to work with him to get the National
