This is a time of year that we need to make sure that we take the time out from our busy schedules and thank a Veteran for their service and encourage every member of The Sons of The American Legion to do the same.
I would like to say "Thank You" to all are dual members who served this Great Country that we live in.

As Veterans Day quickly approaches, let me be the first to thank you for your continued service. If you’re a veteran, thank you for your service to our country. If you’re a recipient of this email, you continue to thank veterans each and every day. For that I thank you.
Today’s weekly update covers a hectic week in Congress. It’s bound to be more crazy next week as a number of pieces of legislation are introduced pertaining to veterans. In addition, we believe all eyes will be on the Senate while they attempt to address the veteran jobs legislation in some meaningful way. The House has nearly unanimously passed a wonderful jobs bill. We await similar action on something in the Senate.
The American Legion is working diligently with both houses and both parties to make certain that passage of a veterans jobs bill is bi-partisan and truly helps employ the over one million veterans who are unemployed.
