The American Legion National Convention: Sun, Aug 24, 2025 Thank you, Kevin Mook National SAL Liaison Internal Affairs and Membership 2nd Annual Bicycle Ride to Convention for PTSD August 2-22, 2025 Past Department Commander, Jeff Perkins is doing another bike ride this year from Texas to National Convention in Tampa, Florida. Accompanying him are SAL PDCs Bill Kuehner and Tom Arista, and Legion/SAL dual members David Kemp and Joe Johnston. They left Carrollton on August 2nd and plan to arrive in Tampa on August 21st. The goal is to raise money and awareness of PTSD in veterans, active duty, and first responders. They have received incredibly warm welcomes and support from Legion Posts and police and fire departments along the way and are chronicling their journey on Facebook at "American Legion Ride for PTSD", with lots of pictures and stories daily. Please join us in wishing them safe travels and a successful journey. If you are so inclined to donate, please use the QR code on the attached flyer.
